Celebrations and Felicitations:

31st of January VKIC Foundation Day.

  •      To honour a person from the North East who has worked to sustain the socio-cultural fabric of his/her community.
  •      To discover commonalties through the performance of cultural programme
  •      To be aware of the how even small communities face up to international challenges to preserve their tradition.
  •      Award of VKIC SANMAN
  •      Awardees thus far – 10

Every year VKIC celebrates its Foundation Day on 31 January. On this day a person from this region having immense contribution towards preservation of traditional culture to his credit is felicitated and offered the VKIC SANMAN Award. Till date seven such individuals covering six states of this region have been honoured. The Sanman Awardees from 1999-2009 are:
