The Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture (VKIC), Guwahati, is organising the Janajati Sammelan 2026 on 30 & 31 January 2026 at The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati. The Sammelan coincides with VKIC’s Foundation Day celebrations and is envisioned as a major cultural initiative dedicated to the Janajati (indigenous) communities of Northeast Bharat.

The annual lecture series is one of VKIC’s significant intellectual platforms that promotes reflective dialogue on the cultural and philosophical heritage of Northeast India.

I submit that I shall consider myself to be more than fortunate if this address leads to one good question at the end.
