The 9th Dr. Minati Hazarika Memorial Annual Lecture was held on 16th September 2026 at the Williamson Magor Auditorium, VKIC Complex, Guwahati. The programme began at 5:35 pm with the arrival of the Guest Speaker, Ms. Anuradha Sharma Pujari, along with Dr. Gautam Borah, Prof. Shiela Bora, Director, VKIC, and Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Rana Pratap Kalita, Vice-Chairman, VKIC. VKIC office staff members and other invited guests and attendees were also present.

The Janjati Sammelan & 30th Foundation Day of Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture (VKIC) was held on 30–31 January 2026 at The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati. The event brought together representatives of 44 indigenous communities to discuss common cultural values, challenges, and culturally rooted development while fostering dialogue, collaboration, and mutual understanding among diverse communities.

A two-day seminar on “Traditional Systems of the Rabha Community – Change and Continuity” was successfully organized on October 25–26, 2025, at Bikali College, Dhupdhara, in collaboration with the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture (VKIC), Guwahati.

The Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Guwahati, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of IIT Guwahati, is organizing a special program on the topic “Transforming Pressure into Power: Swami Vivekananda’s Insight for Today’s Youth.” The event will be held on 16th August, 2025, at the Mini Auditorium, IIT Guwahati. This program aims to inspire and empower the youth by drawing from Swami Vivekananda’s timeless wisdom on how to channel challenges and pressures into constructive energy for personal growth and nation-building.

The Sanskriti Anveshak forum was organized as a thematic and interdisciplinary platform for intellectual exploration, bringing together diverse perspectives on India’s rich cultural and philosophical heritage. The central theme of this session, “Indian Knowledge System: Basis of our Way of Life – Vedanta”, emphasized the foundational role of Vedanta in shaping Indian civilization, thought systems, and values.

On 5th April 2025, Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture organized a thematic interaction under the banner Sanskriti Anveshak: A Thematic Interaction Interdisciplinary Forum. The event marked the initiation of a discussion series on the theme Indian Knowledge System: Focus on North East. Held at the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture premises, the session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 40 individuals, including members of Team Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture

Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture (VKIC), Guwahati observed its 27th Foundation Day with a program on 31st January 2024 at VKIC premises with around 300 invited guests.

The seminar also focused on "community knowledge and indigenous wisdom for sustaining diversity, modernity and creating a conflict-free world" besides embodying a holistic and inclusive approach to progress. This approach is further emphasized through the theme of "Enhancing Development through Culture," which recognizes the profound impact that culture has on shaping societies and economies.

The final seminar of the working group on Diversity, Inclusion, and Mutual Respect opened with its inaugural session, featuring a welcome address by Dr. Joram Begi. Dr. Begi is the National Coordinator for Diversity, Inclusion, and Mutual Respect (DIMR) and also serves as the Chairman of the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture.

Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Guwahati, in collaboration with the Tripura University, organised a Civil Society 20 Policy Dialogue, on 12th May, 2023 at Seminar Hall 2, Building Number 11, Tripura University, Agartala, under the theme Diversity, Inclusion, Mutual Respect (DIMR).
